By the time I write this blog, the restaurant Christophe (named after the chef who opened the place in 1989, Christophe Royer) has closed down. Indeed a shame as the place offered a classy, sophisticated and slightly old-fashioned dining experience with a very distinct charm in the Jordaan district. It was indeed awarded a Michelin Star until 2007 when Christophe himself caught everybody by surprise and left his namesake restaurant.
Well, not much else to say about this, except maybe remembering that my friend Edith brought me there to discover the place in January 2013, and I keep a fond memory of that evening.
A bientot, Christophe!
