In a beautiful location, Breitner is what you would call a classic restaurant, with nice round tables and elegant silverware and table cloths. The name actually comes from George Breitner, a Dutch painter (one of his works hangs on a restaurant’s wall). The restaurant proclaims itself as inspired by that kind of open cafe’s and bars that the painter declared to enjoy. Well, you might argue that the atmosphere is not exactly artsy, it is actually a more elegant place than one would think. The menu is seasonal and very good. The service is a tad slow, but the position, the fare and the atmosphere make up for it.
